Managing
performance goes beyond simply evaluating employee output . it ensures that
employees' activities and objectives are aligned with the organization's
overall mission and strategy and it plays a vital role in enhancing both
individual and organizational success. Additionally it allows managers gain
employee insights .

Avoiding a ‘‘me’’ versus ‘‘we’’ dilemma
Teams are vital in contemporary workplaces yet often struggle to deliver results. A balanced approach to managing performance is required In order to boost their success. This involves assessing both individual and team efforts and tracking progress and results as well as gathering feedback from inside and outside the team. Furthermore encouraging learning and growth with recognizing contributions at every level (Aguinis H, Gottfredson, R, K , and Joo H,2013) .
