In Contemporary world in organisations digitisation and technology have transformed Human Resource Management. It makes the HRM process more efficient by data-driven and employee centric approach with  AI-powered recruitment to cloud based HR systems and technology enhances workforce management. Automation is the new key to success in many businesses process so  HR professionals play a crucial role in embracing these advantages and transformation to drive organizational success

Almost all organisations are digital HRM systems to streamline HR functions such as payroll processing, benefits management, and performance evaluation through the use of advanced HR software and technology solutions (Stone, D,. Et al,. 2015) . IT is evident that these adaptation is reshaping traditional HR practices and introducing innovative approaches to workforce management. Human Resource Information Systems , e recruiting and the integration of artificial intelligence  in HR processes revolutionising the HRM

Further more with the emerging big data use cases  HRM has transformed  from traditional decision making to more data driven approach. HR professionals now leverage data analytics to make  more accurate and efficient decisions on various aspects of people management. additionally Virtual Hiring utilizes AI-driven tools for virtual interviews and candidate assessments, resulting in a more efficient and unbiased hiring process


 

Sri Lankan Organisation use cases of Digitisation and Technology in HRM 

Dialog Axiata has integrated AI tools for recruitment, using algorithms to analyze resumes and match candidates to job descriptions more accurately and efficiently. Further Dialog has adopted digital communication tools such as Zoom, Teams to ensure effective team collaboration across geographical boundaries

One of Sri Lanka’s largest apparel manufacturers MAS Holdings  has automated recruitment and on boarding processes, reducing manual work and enhancing employee engagement through streamlined HR management platforms (FT, 2016)

Conclusion 

Global HRM practices have undergone significant transformation with  to the integration of digitization, AI  and advanced technologies. These innovations have streamlined HR processes in Sri Lanka and boosted their efficiency as well as enhanced employee productivity . it creates a more dynamic and competitive workforce.
